Brand-name GLP-1 options

Manufacturer self-pay prices for the Wegovy pill and Zepbound vials, plus telehealth programs that prescribe brand-name GLP-1s: Noom Med, Ro, Hims & Hers, WeightWatchers Med+, and LifeMD.

Last updated

Brand-name GLP-1s are the FDA-approved versions: Wegovy® and Ozempic® (semaglutide) from Novo Nordisk, and Zepbound® and Mounjaro® (tirzepatide) from Eli Lilly. Their self-pay prices have dropped a lot, and for some people they now cost about as much as compounded options. You still need a prescription from a licensed clinician, and the price rises at higher doses.

Brand-name or compounded?

Compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide are not FDA-approved, and FDA doesn't review them for safety, effectiveness, or quality. They can cost less, but the gap has narrowed. Read compounded vs. brand-name GLP-1s, or see our compounded provider rankings. Talk with a licensed clinician about which option fits you.
